MATERI       5       : FAITH

A muslim believes in Allah and he expresses his belief in words, plents in the heart and actualizes it in deed. This faith is expressed in detail by two kinds of expression general and specific.

As a general faith, a muslim believes in Allah with  all his names and atributes , and he accepts all his commands. There are ninety –nine atrributes  and names of  Allah and a muslim believes in all his atrributes . Allah is All –Powerful, the All- Knowing and the Creator of the universe. A Muslim regards Him as the only Ruler and Master. A muslim has to depend upon Allah’s mercy alone.

A specific faith in detail is that a Muslim believes in Allah , His angels, His Holy books, all of His prophets,, the day of judgment and life after death, and in the fact that  good and evil all come from him. A true Muslim believes in all of these articles of faith, and follows the last prophet in his actions. The teaching of the last prophet is  known in full detail ; either it is written in the Quran , the final book, or in Sunnah. The faith gives human beings peace and security.

Mr. Abdullah has three sons, the eldest was ‘Ali”, the second was Ahmad and the youngest was Hasan. He loves his sons very nuch and he wanted them to be good muslims when they grew up. As a father, Mr. Abdullah was a good Muslims so that his sons could regard him as their model.

One day Mr Abdullah tested his sons to know their belief in God. He gave his sons some cake and asked them to eat it in a place where no one could see them. Ali took the cake and he went to his room. He shut the door and ate the cake. He thought that no one could see him. Ahmad went to a cave near his house. It was dark in the cave. He was sure that no body was there who could see him. He ate the cake in the darkness of the cave. Hasan thought and thouht about finding a place wheere nobody could see him. He thought that there was no such place. He remembered  that Allah could always see him. So he did not eat the cake.

Ali and Ahmad came back to their father and told him about what they did. Hasan came back and returned the cake to his father and said that there was no place which was secred from Allah. Mr Abdullah was very pleased with Hasan and told his two sons to learn  a lesson from their little , Hasan,. He said that Allah knew everything, saw everything . So it was said , they sould not do anything bad even in secret.

MATERI 3 : ALLAH –THE GOD

God is the Lord of universe. He is the creator of the universe. He creates the world for us and also creates us in the best form. In Arabic, God is called Allah. Allah is the proper name for the one and only God. There is no one like Him and He has no partner. He is eternal and knows everything. God is Great as well as Merciful. God sent prophets to guide us , from Adam , the first prophet , to Muhammad , the last prophet. The prophet told us how to thank God and obey Him. They also taught us how to live  like good human beings, be happy and successful. There fore we have to believe in one God, thank Him and obey Him.

The Islamic religion was preached by Muhammad for 23 years, He invited  us to believe in Allah and to obey Him.. We have to live in obedience to Him Alone.We know Allah , the creator , from prophet Muhammad. Muhammad is the greatest benefactor for all mankind. He taught love and brotherhoot. He asked  his followers to be polite and to be kind to others. He asked us to love children and to respect elders. He  taught us to help one other. He stopped people from doing harm to others. He asked Muslims to be always truthful. He practised what he preached. He is a good example for our life . The message brought by him is the final message. There is no prophet after Muhammad . We have to f ollow his teaching.

A great thing happened in the year 571 A.D (The Christian Era), Muhammad, the last prophet, was born in Mecca 571 years after the prophet Jesus. His father was Abdullah, who died before his birth. He lost his mother , Aminah, when he was only 6 years old. He married Khatijah when he was 25 years old. She was a noble lady of Mecca He lived for 63 years old. He received the first revelation from Allah in 611 A.D when he was 40. At that time the Arabic people were idol worshippers. For 25 years he preached the message of truth. Muhammad invited the people to return to Islam.

Arikel ini hanyalah bertujuan sebagai catatan pribadi dan pendapat pribadi yang  sifatnya mungkin sangat subyektip, namun dari yang simple dan praktis serta pendapat dari lubuk hati semoga ada manfaatnya dan membawa kebaikan kita semua. Prinsip saya adalah bahwa saya akan berfastabikul khoirot untuk ikut berpendapat. Apakah pendapat saya diterima atau tidak, digunakan atau tidak, dianggap baik atau tidak- semua tidak masalah. Saya mendasarkan Firman Alloh pada  Al Quran di mana pada surat yang pertama kali turun yakni  Al Alaq  yang kalau tidak keliru ada pengertian bahwa kita diperintahkan untuk selalu membaca dan menulis.  Berangkat dari hal tersebut sekalipun tulisan ini sederhana semoga sudah memenuhi perintah Ilahi tersebut. Bila pendapat saya nanti digunakan maka harapan saya pahala di dunia dan akhirat dapat terus mengalir – menjadi sodakoh jariyah. Saya juga ingat bahwa ada tiga hal yang bila dikeluarkan maka tidak berkurang bahkan bertambah. Tiga  hal tersebut adalah sumber air, ilmu dan uang. Sumber air yang diberikan dan dimanfaatkan dengan baik maka Insya Alloh akan terus ditambah dan tak akan habis airnya -contoh yang nyata sumber air Zam-zam yang tak habis airnya sekalipun diambil berjuta juta manusia setiap tahun. Selanjutnya ilmu bila dibagikan atau diberikan kepada orang lain maka Alloh akan menambah keberkahan dan yang meberikan ilmu tak akan menjadi bodoh- contohnya para guru, dosen, ahli agama dan sebagainya.  Sedangkan yang terakhir adalah uang. Guru matematika mengatakan bahwa 10 – 1 = 9, namun Ustadz Yusuf  Mansur mengatakan bahwa 10-1 = 19 m artinya bahwa yang diberikan satu bagian itu akan kembali menjadi sepuluh kalinya dan ditambah sisa yang masih ada (9). Ini semua benar dan akan menjadi berkah ketika kita melakukannya dengan keikhlasan dan niat ibadah. Oleh karena itu dengan Bismillah saya sajikan karya ini semoga dicatat Alloh sebagai amilussholikhah. Bicara amilisholokhah maka hal itu adalah faktor penting ketika kita akan menjadi manusia yang tidak rugi di dunia ini sebagaimana Alloh mengingatkan dalam Surat Al Asr atau walasri. Yang intinya antara lain bahwa semua manusia itu rugi kecuali orang yang beriman dan amilusholikhah (beramal solih) saling mengingatkan yang hak dan selalu bersabar.SEMOGA SARANA INI MENJADIKAN KITA ORANG YANG TIDAK MERUGI- AMIN.
